Ever since cutting my hair, I have been wanting to make a hair scarf to recreate those messy, yet put together, Pinterest hairstyles. After rummaging through fabric tables, I set my eyes on this two toned rose fabric and knew I had to have it.

My deadline was to get it done before Ryan and I left for Europe… so of course I did it the night before. For me, the only way to get things done is last minute.

I started off by making a 22″ square pattern. I made sure my corners were squared off and then began to cut. I didn’t add a seam allowance since I knew I would just serge it. I set my serger to a rolled hem and 4 sides later my little scarf was complete.

Thoughts if I did it again?
Not to do it in the wee hours of the night right before leaving for a 2 week trip, which I had not packed for yet. I would also fold over my pattern into a triangle to make sure that it is a true square. For a late night make, it turned out to be the perfect accessory when roaming the streets of Paris.
