Brunch. My favorite meal. I have recently been inspired by @emetamily on instagram to have a monthly list of bakes, makes, projects and more. On the top of my baking list were cinnamon rolls. I used a recipe from Ambitious Kitchen and loved it. If you are looking to indulge on a sweet for brunch this recipe is perfect for you!
A Couple Notes on this Recipe
When mixing the dough mine was very sticky so I had to add quite a bit more flour. I used my dough hook on my kitchen aid but it never balled up around the hook. I ended up kneading it by hand and adding more flour until it felt good (tight enough to make a ball but still slightly sticky). After letting it rise, I floured my counter and drew a 14×9 rectangle. She calls you to use a rolling pin to roll it to size. I just plopped the dough in the middle of the rectangle and finger pressed it to size. Because I did it this way my dough was very fluffy, which I liked, but this did mean I had a larger roll and had to use two pans. I ended up using a square 9×9 pan and 9″circle pan. My rolls came out nice and fluffy and were a huge hit at brunch with friends. My favorite part was cutting the roll with floss, it was so satisfying.
