The garden has been good to us this season, and we

The garden has been good to us this season, and we are so grateful for that. We have an abundance of green tomatoes from the freeze. Some will be pickled, others made into a salsa and the rest I’ll fry up as little friend green tomato poppers.

“Baskets of fruit are heavy.” -Nancy Wilson. A sweet reminder to my heart, that God’s blessings carry a burden that must be faithfully stewarded so that it doesn’t become a curse. Thankful for the messy house and tiny clothes to fold tonight. All a sure sign of the sweet gift of a child and a home to keep.

Had the sweetest time visiting my sister’s homes

Had the sweetest time visiting my sister’s homestead with Davy James. He loved petting goats, chickens and ducks, and made sure to tag along wherever his four cousins went. He was trying to keep up with them and ended up taking his first three steps! It was so inspiring watching my sister homemaking and homeschooling her littles in the name of Jesus. Of course she couldn’t send me home empty handed. Apple butter, a dozen and a half eggs, and goats milk all came home with us. Until next time Schaefer Ridge 🤍

Most of my hobbies often begin with a genuine inte

Most of my hobbies often begin with a genuine interest, then grow into an outright irritation until I can figure it out. Sourdough has been no different. There has been so much to learn, from different recipes, to terms and techniques. Every loaf from the flat and under proofed, to the springy open crumb has taught me so much. Can’t wait to keep learning and teach my littles as I go. 💖
